Instead of purchasing lots of souvenirs, Quinton enjoyed taking pictures of the vendors.

Mexico Part 1, Tulum and Coba
As many of you know we took a trip to Mexico in February. We went down to the Yucatan peninsula and traveled backpacker style. It was a great trip and we had a wonderful time on our "second honeymoon". (For his safety and well being we left Samuel with his grandparents in California)

Early the next morning we boarded a bus and headed for Tulum, a lovely coastal town with spectacular beaches and water. We broke ourselves in quickly by carrying our packs around the entire time we toured the ruins.

By the time we finished touring the ruins and walking a mile or so in the hot humid sun to where we were going to stay for the night we were rather hot and tired. This little cabana looked wonderfully inviting and cool.

We quickly changed and went for a refreshing swim in the ocean. It was a great beach and the waves were fun to ride.
Loved the color of the ocean! Oh, and those chairs they had on the beach.

Breakfast on the beach!
Next day we spent in a very small town about 45min. away called Coba.
This is a ball court where they played a game of some sort where the goal was to get the ball though the hoop. Apparently, the losers lost their heads.
Preparing to climb this big temple/heap/thing.

We spent our first night in Cancun.
